BACK TO SCHOOL TIPS

You are lost and confused at the same time; you don't know how to prepare our kids after a long weekend? Ooh no you are not alone. We bring you 10 best deferent tips on back-to-school preparation. Going back to school does not necessarily have to be kids preparing,  but the parents too need to. Here are the 10 tips a parent can use to prepare the kids!! 1 BUDGETING As a parent you should calculate your net income to plan on what you are going to buy for your kids. List your monthly expenses than you know where you stand and how much money you're left with. Once you have done that than you can decide on what you are going to buy. This includes buying school uniforms, stationary and other school materials. Also ask your children on what they need for school than you can include it in your budget and see if it fits in the saved-up money. Budgeting is a good way to save up money.

2.GETTING READY BEFORE TIME

Preparation is the best key to everything, like shopping for school, work or any other activity.  Very important for parents! get ready before time. Put everything you want to do on a calendar or in a diary. This include setting a day for buying the uniforms and stationery. This is to avoid rash hour when every other family will be in the shopping centre. also let the kids know that things have to be done on time to avoid delays.

3. BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING

The beginning of a new school year is always the busiest and most challenging as parents have to start with the shopping of new school uniforms and also stationary. Very importantly is to involve the kids, why am I saying this because, many at times parents seem to buy the wrong size uniforms and have to return them which takes up time. So, the kids being there prevents such incidents and saves time too. Choosing their own school supplies, clothes. a backpack or lunchboxes will engage children to take part in the activity and may increase their excitement about going back to school and using all the new things.

4. BEDTIME ROUTINES

After the holidays children always seem to be caught up in the past time of going to bed a little too late. So as a parent you need to set up a bedtime routine, let the kids know about the changes so that they get to adjust too. Set a timetable of how and when things should be done and when to get into bed for school. The kids will obviously not like it but as a parent you should know that it's for their best. Also set the alarm on just in case you sleep late or are always tired.

5. PREPARING LUNCHBOXES

Food is one component that gives us energy and can't live without, including a lunchbox in your child's bag pack is one thing that gets them hyped up about going back to school the next day. Make sure to include something healthy like an apple or a banana and reduce on including too many snacks and food which may contain some sorts of allergens. Another very important thing is to always include a bottle of water or juice to keep them hydrated. Including a lunchbox motivates your child and also gives them the energy they need for the day.

6. GETTING A GO TO SCHOOL FRIEND

Making friends is not an easy thing especially with children, if your child does not have any one to walk with or take the bus with to school, it will be a great idea if you were to get him or her one. You probably wondering how you going to do that, you can introduce yourself to other parents who are having kids attending the same school as yours, talk to them about the matter they can be just as understanding. This way the kids will have more fun on their way to school and may share their worries and help each other feel more comfortable going back to school.

7.TALK ABOUT HOMEWORK

It's always good as a parent to look out for the best in your child, this includes checking their homework. Tell them the importance of doing homework on time and also get involved where they do not understand. There are certain topics where you and your child do not understand so it's important to let the teacher know, you never know the teacher could make time after school to help your child. Another thing is to have a well-prepared environment for your child to do they homework and not get distracted. (29) Talking to Kids: Homework Strategies - YouTube

8. DEAL WITH EXPECTATIONS

It is helpful to ask your children what they expect about returning to school. Your children can have goals of making new friends for the academic year or always having to prepare for the next day's lesson. So as a parent teach your child to expect anything from returning back to school. Remind them that it's okay to be nervous and that teachers will be there to help them feel comfortable.

10. CHILD CARE AFTER SCHOOL

A parent should be there to supervise their child when they return from school, if it's not possible than there should be a nanny that will supervise the child/ children as they return from school. this will put them in place as in reminding them to do their homework or household chores. Children also love it knowing that there is someone who is expecting them at home and also knowing that it's going to be safe when they return. CONCLUTION  It's always important as a parent to be prepared for the back-to-school return of your children. Never forget to plan in advance as it can save your entire year.
